Program Description
Global development in the hospitality industry provides exceptional opportunities worldwide. Hospitality businesses offer an environment where graduates can become active members of diverse, dynamic teams, achieve significant income, advance strategically in career tracks, and work in attractive surroundings. The Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management offers Bachelor and Master degrees in Hospitality Management and Minors are also available. With the cooperation of industry executives, the School has created an internship program which utilizes the hotels, resorts, restaurants, clubs, cruise lines and event venues as practice labs for students. Students may participate in Study Abroad and International Exchange Programs in Argentina, Australia, China, Norway, Switzerland, Trinidad and more.
Admission Requirements
1. Students entering FIU as Freshmen or as a Transfer student with less than 60 transfer credits
Admissions criteria are the same as the general FIU criteria for students entering with fewer than 60 approved credits. Click here for the details.
2. Transfer students entering FIU with 60 or more transfer credits
In addition to the general FIU Transfer Admission criteria for students with 60 credits or more, the following criteria must be met:
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.25
If you meet general FIU admission criteria for transfer students with 60 credits or more, but do not meet the above criteria, you will be admitted to and housed and advised in Undergraduate Education, Exploratory Administration and Management Track, pending completion of the above criteria.
